Remote Industrial Engineer

Our client is seeking an innovative Remote Industrial Engineer to contribute to their manufacturing optimization efforts, potentially supporting operations near Paarl . This role focuses on analyzing and improving production processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. You will utilize your engineering expertise to design, develop, and implement solutions that optimize resource utilization, streamline operations, and ensure the highest quality output.

Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with on-site teams and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in a flexible, modern work setting.

• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using lean manufacturing principles.
• Design and implement new or improved production systems, layouts, and workflows to optimize efficiency and throughput.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics, conducting data analysis to track progress and identify trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and supply chain, to implement changes.
• Create technical documentation, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and automation.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering , process improvement, or operations analysis.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and simulation software.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience in a remote work setting.
