Mechanical Design Drafter

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Drafter to join their innovative product development team, operating remotely. This role is crucial for translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation required for manufacturing. You will work closely with mechanical engineers to produce accurate CAD models and blueprints, ensuring all technical specifications are clearly communicated. This position is perfect for a skilled drafter who thrives in a remote setting and values precision and clarity in technical communication.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works).
• Develop and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component lists based on design changes.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate digitally with mechanical engineers to clarify design intent and incorporate feedback into drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of design review materials and presentations.
• Maintain an organized system for managing and archiving all design documentation.

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Drafter or similar role.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software , with a strong emphasis on 2D and 3D modeling.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering tolerances .
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
