Energy Efficiency Consultant

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Energy Efficiency Consultant to join their team in Richards Bay . This role focuses on helping businesses and organizations reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint through expert analysis and tailored solutions. You will conduct energy audits, develop efficiency strategies, and guide clients through implementation processes. This hybrid role allows for site visits and client interactions while also incorporating remote work for analysis and reporting, making it an engaging position for someone passionate about sustainability and driving tangible improvements in energy usage.

• Conduct comprehensive energy audits of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities to identify areas of significant energy waste.
• Analyze energy usage data and develop detailed recommendations for energy-saving measures, including HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, and process optimization.
• Prepare and present energy audit reports and efficiency proposals to clients, outlining cost savings, ROI, and implementation plans.
• Advise clients on the selection and implementation of energy-efficient technologies and practices.
• Stay current with energy efficiency standards, government incentives, and new technologies in the field.
• Track the performance of implemented energy efficiency projects and provide post-implementation support.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy auditing, energy management, or a related sustainability consulting role.
• Knowledge of building systems, industrial processes, and energy-efficient technologies.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and client communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site assessments within the Kwa Zulu-Natal region.
