Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a talented and self-motivated Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to groundbreaking projects from the comfort of your home office, supporting operations related to Richards Bay . This role focuses on the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical components and systems for a range of innovative products. You will work closely with a distributed team of engineers and designers, utilizing advanced collaboration tools to drive projects forward.

• Design and develop mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software .
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis , including stress, thermal, and motion simulations.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team through digital communication platforms.
• Oversee virtual prototyping and testing, analyze results, and implement necessary design refinements.
• Stay current with advancements in mechanical engineering principles and design technologies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Strong proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., Inventor, CATIA, Siemens NX).
• Demonstrated experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
