Remote Process Automation Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Process Automation Specialist to join their expanding engineering division. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for automation, designing and implementing automated systems, and ensuring their seamless integration into existing operational frameworks.

• Identify and evaluate processes suitable for automation across different industrial sectors.
• Design, develop, and implement automated solutions using robotics, PLC, SCADA, and other relevant technologies.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including P&IDs, control logic, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with client engineering teams and internal stakeholders using virtual communication platforms.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automated systems to ensure peak performance and reliability.
• Stay current with advancements in automation technology and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process automation, robotics, or control systems engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing automated solutions for industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI/SCADA systems, and robotics.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously in a remote setting, supporting projects potentially near Upington and beyond.
