Our client seeks a skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to join their operations in Richards Bay . This role focuses on maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting the electrical infrastructure and equipment within their industrial facility. You will play a vital part in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of machinery, managing electrical maintenance programs, and implementing upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability. This position offers a blend of hands‑on work and strategic planning, ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem‑solving in a demanding industrial environment and contributing to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of all industrial electrical equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for electrical assets.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify areas for electrical system improvement.
- Participate in the design and commissioning of new electrical systems and plant upgrades.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering .
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial electrical engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, motor control, PLCs , and instrumentation.
- Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Sound understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance in an industrial setting.
