Remote Mechanical Design Engineer - Aerospace

• Design and develop innovative mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications using advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, strain, thermal, and vibration analysis, using FEA tools.
• Create and manage comprehensive design documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with remote colleagues, project managers, and manufacturing partners through virtual meetings and shared platforms.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews and feasibility studies to ensure designs meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of new designs, providing remote support as needed.
• Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerospace mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
• Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices for remote engineering teams.
• Ensure all designs adhere to aerospace industry standards and company quality management systems.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on aerospace applications.
• Expert proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, and FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials (e.g., composites, high-strength alloys) and manufacturing processes (e.g., precision machining, additive manufacturing).
• Demonstrated experience with complex mechanical systems, including mechanisms, structures, and thermal management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Experience working in a collaborative, distributed team environment.
• Familiarity with aerospace certification processes is a plus.
