Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Renewable Energy Developer for a fully remote position. This role is central to identifying, evaluating, and securing new opportunities for renewable energy projects across the nation. You will be responsible for market analysis, site assessment, stakeholder engagement, and the initial development phases of solar, wind, and battery storage projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth of sustainable energy solutions from a remote setting, collaborating with internal and external partners to advance our clean energy portfolio and make a significant contribution to the energy transition .
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new opportunities for renewable energy project development.
- Conduct site selection, feasibility studies, and resource assessments for potential projects.
- Manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Develop and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and interconnection agreements.
- Prepare project proposals, financial models, and investment cases.
- Oversee early-stage project design and permitting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in renewable energy project development.
- Proven track record in originating and advancing renewable energy projects through the development cycle.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies , market dynamics, and policy landscapes.
- Excellent negotiation, financial modeling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote work environment.
