Senior Aviation Safety Engineer

This pivotal role is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety across all company operations and products. You will conduct comprehensive safety assessments, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of aviation safety principles, accident investigation, and safety management systems (SMS). Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding aircraft operations and personnel.

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses for aircraft systems and operations.
• Investigate aviation incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Develop and deliver aviation safety training programs to personnel at all levels.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and report on safety trends.
• Facilitate safety review boards and working groups.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and operational teams to integrate safety considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Stay current with evolving aviation safety standards and best practices.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation safety, risk management, or related roles.
• Proven experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and standards.
• Experience in incident/accident investigation and analysis is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
