This is a full-time HVAC Estimator role based in Randburg, offered on a hybrid basis with some work-from-home flexibility. The HVAC Estimator will review drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC and related mechanical works on commercial and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing material take-offs, analyzing labor and equipment requirements, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations, and compiling detailed bid proposals in line with company standards.

The role involves collaborating with project managers and engineers to refine scopes, supporting budget development, and updating estimates based on design changes or client feedback. The HVAC Estimator will also assist with cost tracking, value engineering options, and post-tender clarifications to help secure profitable, competitive projects.

• Candidates should possess strong HVAC and piping skills, including knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation systems, and mechanical services layouts.
• Candidates should possess plumbing-related skills relevant to commercial building services and coordination with mechanical installations.
• Candidates should possess project management skills, including planning, coordination with stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.
• Candidates should possess budgeting and cost estimation skills, including pricing materials, labor, and equipment for HVAC projects.
• Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Building Services (diploma or degree) is beneficial.
• Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC estimating within construction or building services environments is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with estimating or CAD software is advantageous.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
