Senior Process Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing

You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex chemical processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and product quality. This role involves collaborating closely with research and development, production, and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement and implement new process technologies.

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical manufacturing processes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies for new product introductions and modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues in existing operations.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D teams on process scale-up from laboratory to pilot and full production.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and operations personnel.
• Manage process design projects from conception through to implementation and validation.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Strong proficiency in process design software, simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD), and data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with process scale-up and troubleshooting complex chemical operations.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols (e.g., HAZOP studies) and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to manage projects and work independently in a remote setting.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
