Description:
We are looking for a Professional willing to join our Technical Services department
, in particular, the team dedicated to Melt Shops technologies.
The candidate should have a strong motivation to work within an international and challenging environment. You will carry on the following activities:
- Mainly generate accurate 2D drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Produce 2D drawings from sketches.
- Generate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
- Calculate weights and locate center of gravity of parts and assemblies.
- Generate accurate Bill of Materials and parts list.
- Apply dimensions, tolerances, fits, weld symbols, and surface finish requirements.
- Generate layouts, general arrangements, fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Revise drawings based on engineering comments and marked up documents.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models to be used in technical proposals.
Required profile:
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or vocational certification in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant drafting experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant drafting experience.
- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D software.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Preferred Skills or
Experience:
- Experience working for an engineering company.
- Experience directly related to the steel industry is a plus.
- Spanish speaking would be beneficial.
