Our client is searching for a seasoned Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in a completely remote capacity. This role is critical for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated control systems for industrial automation projects. You will lead complex automation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of systems from your home office. This is an ideal position for an experienced engineer who excels in remote collaboration, possesses deep expertise in industrial automation, and is looking to make a significant impact on projects from anywhere, supporting operations in the Western Cape and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, programming, and implementation of advanced PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
- Develop robust control strategies and algorithms for complex industrial processes.
- Oversee the integration of control systems with other plant systems and networks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers working remotely.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Conduct remote FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and support SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) virtually.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in control systems engineering and industrial automation.
- Extensive experience with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA software .
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and network architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
