Remote RF Network Optimization Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Remote RF Network Optimization Engineer to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in radio frequency engineering from anywhere. You will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and tuning our client's wireless networks (4G/LTE and 5G) to ensure peak performance, capacity, and coverage. This role requires a deep understanding of RF principles, propagation modeling, and network performance KPIs.

• Develop and implement optimization strategies for 4G/LTE and 5G networks to enhance capacity, coverage, and quality of service.
• Perform RF planning and design tasks, including antenna selection, placement, and parameter tuning.
• Conduct simulation and modeling of radio network performance using specialized software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve RF-related issues, such as interference, dropped calls, and poor data speeds.
• Collaborate with network deployment and operations teams to implement optimization changes.
• Prepare detailed reports on network performance, optimization activities, and recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in RF technology and mobile network standards.
• Participate in the evaluation of new RF features and technologies for future network enhancements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF network planning and optimization.
• Proven expertise in 4G/LTE and 5G RF performance analysis and tuning.
• Proficiency with RF planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet), drive test tools (e.g., Nemo, TEMS), and OSS performance monitoring systems.
• Strong understanding of RF propagation, interference mitigation, and antenna theory.
• Experience with cloud-native network functions and virtualization is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across distances.
• Experience with scripting or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL) is beneficial.
