Senior Industrial Process Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in industrial optimization, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa . The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across a wide range of industrial operations. You will leverage your expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process simulation to identify bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement improvements.

• Analyze existing industrial processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Design and model new production processes and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Utilize simulation software to test and validate process changes before implementation.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff on new processes and best practices.
• Monitor process performance metrics and provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in industrial engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, Flex Sim, Any Logic).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
• Experience in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.
• Must have reliable internet connectivity and a dedicated home office setup for remote work.
