Principal Electrical Systems Engineer; Remote

• Lead the architectural design and development of sophisticated electrical systems for diverse applications.

• Define technical roadmaps and strategic direction for electrical system evolution.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies into system designs.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams remotely.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, software development, and manufacturing, to align system requirements.
• Develop and enforce rigorous design standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices.
• Oversee the resolution of complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation, specifications, and white papers.
• Stay at the forefront of electrical engineering advancements and their potential applications.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical systems engineering, with a strong focus on system architecture and design leadership.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing large-scale, complex electrical systems.
• Expertise in areas such as power electronics, control systems, signal processing, or embedded systems.
• Proficiency with advanced simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to influence technical decisions.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proven success in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating self-discipline and effective virtual collaboration.
• Experience supporting projects in or connected to the Upington, Northern Cape region is a significant advantage.
