Senior Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design; Remote

Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, water supply, and sanitation networks. Perform detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling using industry-standard software. Prepare comprehensive design reports, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents. Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.

Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Review and approve engineering designs submitted by external consultants. Champion best practices in civil engineering design and construction methods.

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure design and project management. Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or equivalent is highly desirable. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro, EPANET). Strong understanding of South African National Standards and relevant building codes.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote collaboration. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting. Demonstrated experience in managing project life cycles from conception to completion.
