• Perform structural analysis and design of aircraft components and assemblies using FEA software.
• Develop and optimize structural designs for weight reduction while maintaining strength and durability requirements.
• Conduct stress analysis, buckling analysis, fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and certification authorities on structural integrity.
• Participate in the planning and execution of structural testing, including static, dynamic, and fatigue tests.
• Identify and resolve structural issues, implementing corrective actions and design improvements.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis techniques in the aerospace industry.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace standards and regulations.
• Contribute to the development of new design methodologies and best practices for structural engineering.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in structures.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis and design.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran.
• Strong understanding of composite materials, metallic structures, and aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works) for structural design and modeling.
• Knowledge of aerospace structural testing methodologies and equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Familiarity with aerospace certification requirements (e.g., FAR Part 25).
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely within South Africa .
