Project Manager - Renewable Energy Infrastructure

This role involves managing the development and implementation of solar, wind, and other clean energy infrastructure projects across the region. You will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, construction partners, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct site assessments and oversee on-site construction and installation activities.
• Communicate project status and updates effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly valued.
• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro).
• Proven experience managing project budgets exceeding R10 million.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid integration, and energy policy.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Ability to travel to project sites and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
