The role of the Entry Level Drainage Engineer:
* Assisting with flood risk and drainage assessments
* Supporting the preparation of sustainable drainage (SuDS) strategies
* Preparing technical reports, calculations and supporting documentation
* Working on SuDS management and maintenance plans
* Liaising with clients, local authorities, water companies and other project stakeholders
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across water management, infrastructure design and transport planning

* Great opportunities for career development, and training programmes The requirements for the Entry Level Drainage Engineer include a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, along with familiarity with drainage design software such as Micro Drainage or Info Drainage. Candidates should also have some knowledge of hydrological or hydraulic modelling software, such as Flood Modeller or TUFLOW, as well as relevant placement, internship or university project experience within civil engineering, drainage, flood risk or water management.
