November/December 2026 About the Role Infinity Systems Engineering Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Submarine Sustainment Solution Lead to support the AUKUS programme within the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA). The successful candidate will work with MOD stakeholders, UK industry partners and international teams to develop submarine maintenance and sustainment solutions supporting the deployment of Astute Class submarines to Australia.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement submarine maintenance and sustainment strategies. Engage with MOD, Babcock, Rolls-Royce and international AUKUS stakeholders. Review UK submarine maintenance processes and identify requirements for Australian operations. Develop sustainment plans, CONOPS and technical documentation. Support project governance, technical reviews and contract change proposals. Produce technical reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in UK Submarine In-Service Support and Maintenance Delivery .
Engineering background within submarine, maritime or nuclear defence programmes. Experience working with MOD and defence industry partners. Strong project delivery and stakeholder management experience. Excellent technical reporting and communication skills. UK nationality and current SC clearance essential.
Desirable Experience Experience working on international defence programmes. Knowledge of submarine sustainment and maintenance planning. Familiarity with Primavera P6, JIRA or similar project tools. Understanding of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise. Working Arrangements Predominantly hybrid/remote working with regular attendance at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol. Occasional UK and international travel to Australia and the US may be required. Why Infinity Systems Engineering?
