Job Description:

As an Asset Management Program Manager / Senior Project Manager within Orbital’s Asset Integrity business unit, you will lead multi-year, multi-site inspection and asset management programs for industrial clients, with an emphasis on Manufacturing & Specialty Chemicals. You will own program execution, client coordination, and continuous improvement while managing the scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety of assigned inspection projects and asset management activities.

You will work alongside engineering teams to share inspection findings, coordinate interfaces, and support client planning.

The position is primarily remote-based, with a mix of in-office, periodic visits to client facilities, and occasional travel to support the program.

Essential Functions

Lead Inspection & Asset Management Programs

  • Develop and lead inspection and asset management programs for structural and other infrastructure assets across multiple facilities.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned programs, aligning execution with asset lifecycle goals, risk tolerance, and operational priorities.
  • Guide inspection strategies, risk-based prioritization, and program improvements; provide asset condition information to support client- and engineering-led repair and capital planning.
  • Hire, supervise, and develop inspection and asset management staff; establish clear goals, provide guidance, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.

Deliver Consistent Program Execution

  • Manage concurrent inspection projects and asset management activities, maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
  • Plan and coordinate inspectors, program staff, and inspection subcontractors; align inspection activities with engineering interfaces without directing engineering or design work.
  • Review inspection reports and program deliverables for completeness, consistency, and alignment with requirements; coordinate engineering technical reviews when needed.
  • Lead inspection quality reviews and program status meetings and contribute inspection findings and program context to engineering-led technical discussions.

Strengthen Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Improve inspection procedures, reporting standards, and program workflows in collaboration with responsible technical teams; support engineering-defined inspection requirements without owning engineering or design standards.
  • Ensure assigned inspection and asset management activities follow Orbital’s Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable client, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Promote consistent, repeatable, and defensible inspection and asset condition data across facilities and programs.

Build Long-Term Client Partnerships

  • Develop and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Orbital leadership and Strategic Partners on program renewals, expansions, and new asset management opportunities.
  • Develop scopes, execution strategies, schedules, and cost estimates for inspection and asset management proposals; provide supporting program information for engineering-led proposals.
