Aircraft Design Engineer

• Conceptualize, design, and develop aircraft structures, airframes, and integrated systems using advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including structural, aerodynamic, and thermal analysis, to validate designs.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stress analysts, aerodynamics specialists, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Research and evaluate new materials and technologies to enhance aircraft performance and efficiency.
• Contribute to the testing and validation phases, providing design support and resolving any emergent issues.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant aviation regulations, airworthiness standards, and safety requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in aircraft design and aerospace technology.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovation and technical expertise.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works, AutoCAD) and CAE tools.
• Solid understanding of aerodynamics, structures, materials science, and aircraft systems.
• Experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suited for a remote work environment.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from Benoni, Gauteng, ZA.
