Industrial Engineer - Automation and Robotics Integration

Our client, a forward-thinking manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a specialization in automation and robotics integration. This role is structured as fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge projects from your home office. You will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for automation, and designing, implementing, and optimizing robotic systems to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

This position demands a strong understanding of automation technologies, control systems, and industrial engineering principles. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams to ensure the successful deployment and integration of automated solutions. • Assess current manufacturing operations to identify automation and robotics opportunities.
• Design and develop automated systems, including robotic workcells, PLCs, and HMI interfaces.
• Select appropriate robotic technologies and equipment based on project requirements and cost-benefit analysis.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows for automated production lines.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of automated and robotic systems.
• Program and troubleshoot robotic arms and automated machinery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation seamlessly into existing operations.
• Develop and implement validation and verification procedures for automated systems.
• Conduct training for operations and maintenance personnel on new automated equipment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence in manufacturing.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on automation and robotics.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency with robotic programming languages (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with CAD software for robotic cell design and layout.
• Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and machine vision technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and deliver results in a remote environment.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT integration is a plus.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial.
