Lead Industrial Engineer - Smart Factory Implementation

• Analyze existing manufacturing systems to identify opportunities for digital transformation.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of smart factory solutions.
• Define system requirements, specifications, and performance metrics for smart manufacturing systems.
• Oversee the deployment, testing, and validation of new technologies and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to smart factory implementation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in industrial automation, AI, and digital manufacturing.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for smart factory projects.

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on automation, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing.
• Proven experience in implementing Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI, robotics, data analytics).
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and systems integration.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in simulation software, data analysis tools, and relevant programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic, forward-thinking mindset.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in the Sandton business hub or similar advanced manufacturing environments is advantageous.
