• Oversee and manage the airworthiness certification process for aircraft modifications, repairs, and new designs.
• Interpret and apply aviation regulations from authorities such as SACAA, EASA, and FAA to ensure compliance.
• Develop, review, and approve airworthiness documentation, including type certification basis, continued airworthiness plans, and compliance reports.
• Conduct audits and assessments of internal processes and external suppliers to ensure airworthiness standards are met.
• Provide expert technical advice and support to design, engineering, production, and maintenance departments on airworthiness matters.
• Manage airworthiness-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during certification activities and inspections.
• Lead investigations into airworthiness non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving aviation regulations and industry best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior airworthiness engineers and contribute to the development of the airworthiness team.

• A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation, with a significant focus on airworthiness, certification, or regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of civil aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA CARs, EASA Part 21, FAA Part 23/25).
• Proven experience in managing aircraft certification programs or airworthiness reviews.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems, structures, and propulsion.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in preparing and presenting technical documentation to regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and project management tools.
• Must be a South African citizen or hold valid work authorization.
