Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer - Propulsion

• Lead the systems engineering efforts for advanced aerospace propulsion systems, from concept to flight.
• Define system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for propulsion systems.
• Develop and manage system-level design, verification, and validation plans.
• Perform trade studies and technology assessments to select optimal propulsion solutions.
• Oversee the integration of propulsion components and subsystems with the overall vehicle.
• Analyze and model propulsion system performance, including thrust, specific impulse, and efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for propulsion system development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamicists, structural engineers, and control systems specialists.
• Support ground and flight testing of propulsion systems, analyzing test data and resolving anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a specific focus on propulsion systems.
• Deep knowledge of rocket engine cycles, turbo machinery, combustion, or jet engine principles.
• Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., MBSE, DOORS, SysML).
• Experience with propulsion system simulation and analysis tools (e.g., RPA, NPSS, ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and control theory.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with NASA or ESA propulsion standards is a plus.
• Ability to obtain security clearance if required.
