• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, hydraulic modeling, P&IDs, calculations, and construction drawings for water treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and sewer networks.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments related to water and sanitation systems.
• Ensure designs adhere to all relevant South African national standards, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their development.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
• Perform quality assurance checks on all design documentation and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal writing and the pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in the water and sanitation sector.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) registration with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience focused on water and sanitation engineering design.
• Demonstrated experience in hydraulic modeling (e.g., EPANET, SWMM) and design of water/wastewater treatment processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software.
• Strong knowledge of water quality standards and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to manage projects effectively in a hybrid work setting.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to undertake site visits as needed.
