Senior Thermal Engineer - Remote

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Thermal Engineer to join their advanced engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing thermal systems for complex applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position is associated with our operations in Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA, but is a remote-first role.

• Lead the design and development of thermal management systems, including heat sinks, heat exchangers, and cooling solutions.
• Perform detailed thermal analysis and simulations using specialized software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL).
• Validate simulation results through experimental testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs.
• Develop testing protocols and procedures for thermal performance evaluation.
• Identify opportunities for thermal performance improvements and cost optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in thermal engineering principles.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in thermal management.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermal Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in thermal engineering, specifically in design and analysis.
• Proficiency in thermal analysis software and CFD tools.
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer principles, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Experience with experimental thermal testing and data acquisition.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
