£27,029 pro rata, per annum. (in-line with the London Living Wage)

London/Hybrid

Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4 week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements

The role will be based in London. Hybrid working (typically working from home no more than 50% of the time over a 4-week period) will be the default arrangement going forward, although some courses and placements will require full-time attendance. We will consider all requests in a reasonable manner. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

You'll need to be in your penultimate year of a RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and be on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 classification.

At the end of your placement, you may have the opportunity to be considered for a graduate position through our fast-track process. In order to be eligible for a graduate position you must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate scheme. If you wish to be considered for a graduate role, you will be asked to confirm you have the right to work and provide evidence of your right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate scheme as part of your internship application.

Our Commercial teams focus on the budget of our projects, ensuring they continue to be successful and provide value for money. Quantity surveyors are at the heart of London's growth, transforming our infrastructure. We need the next generation of quantity surveyors to develop solutions for the London's challenges, from mass urbanisation to diminishing resources. You'll work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure value for money is being achieved.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within a project team to upgrade our infrastructure (dating back to 1863), whilst ensuring we deliver an efficient service. As we look to modernise our assets, you'll be involved in crucial projects that contribute to the running of TfL.
