Aerospace Electrical Circuit Analyst (Remote/Hybrid)Commercial Space Full Time Centennial, CO, US
3 days ago Requisition
Salary Range: $ To $ Annually
A RES Corporation seeks an experienced electrical circuit analyst to join a team supporting Blue Origin’s Lunar program. This role focuses on independent electrical simulation and Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCA/WCCA) of aerospace circuits and RF components to verify performance against NASA and industry standard requirements under beginning-of-life (BOL) through end-of-life (EOL) conditions, including tolerances, temperature, aging, radiation, and environmental extremes.
The selected candidate will evaluate the worst-case performance of RF circuits (e.g., low-noise amplifiers, solid-state power amplifiers, mixers, filters, oscillators, switches, PLLs, and software-defined radio front-ends) used in lunar systems. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal oversight while collaborating closely with Blue Origin engineering teams, providing technical evaluations, margin assessments, and design recommendations.
Work location: Well-qualified remote candidates will be considered. Candidates local to the Denver metro area (including Blue Origin’s South Denver / Highlands Ranch presence) willing to work a hybrid schedule are preferred.
Essential Functions:
- RF Circuit Simulation and Worst Case Analysis
:
Independently perform detailed electrical simulations and Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCA/WCCA) on aerospace RF and mixed-signal circuits. Apply Extreme Value Analysis (EVA), Root-Sum-Square (RSS), and Monte Carlo methods. Account for initial part tolerances, temperature coefficients, aging, radiation effects (TID and related), supply variations, and layout/packaging parasitics. - Standards Compliance
:
Execute analyses in accordance with NASA and industry WCA/WCCA requirements and guidelines. Develop and maintain WCCA plans, compliance matrices, and supporting documentation. - Model Development and Validation
:
Build and maintain part variation databases. Develop, review, and correlate SPICE and RF models (including S-parameters and nonlinear models) with hardware test data. Incorporate electromagnetic (EM) effects where relevant for RF performance (gain, noise figure, VSWR, stability, compression points, intermodulation, phase noise, etc.). - Customer Collaboration and Technical Evaluation
:
Work directly with Blue Origin engineering teams to define analysis scope, review circuit designs/schematics, evaluate worst-case performance against requirements, identify risks and margins, and recommend design mitigations or verification approaches. Present technical findings and rationale in reviews. - Documentation and Integration Support
:
Produce clear, rigorous WCCA reports and supporting analyses. Coordinate with systems engineering, reliability, safety, and other disciplines as needed for interface requirements and overall mission assurance.
Desired
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience independently performing Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCA/WCCA) or equivalent detailed electrical performance analysis on RF, microwave, or high-reliability analog circuits for aerospace, space, or similarly critical applications.
- Strong proficiency with circuit simulation tools, including SPICE-based simulators (e.g., LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent) with Monte Carlo, parametric, and sensitivity analysis capabilities, and RF/microwave tools such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent (harmonic balance, S-parameter, and related analyses).
- Knowledge of RF circuit performance parameters and worst-case considerations (stability, impedance matching/VSWR, gain/noise figure, power compression, linearity, phase/group delay, and packaging/layout effects).
- Experience incorporating environmental, aging, and radiation effects into analyses and part derating practices for space applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to customers and senior technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight while maintaining high technical rigor and accountability for mission success.
- Direct experience supporting commercial space programs (e.g., Blue Origin, Artemis-related, or similar lunar/human…
