Renewable Energy Systems Engineer

• Design and engineer solar PV systems, including component selection (panels, inverters, batteries) and system sizing.
• Conduct detailed site assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects.
• Perform energy yield simulations and financial modeling for proposed systems.
• Develop technical specifications and documentation for renewable energy installations.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing renewable energy systems.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and policies in the renewable energy sector.
• Contribute to research and development of innovative energy solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and technical presentations for clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
• Proficiency with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, SAM).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power electronics, and energy storage systems.
• Knowledge of battery storage technologies and grid-interconnection requirements.
• Familiarity with relevant South African electrical standards and regulations for renewable energy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for a remote team environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, AutoCAD).
