Telecommunications Engineer

• Design, install, configure, and maintain telecommunication systems, including PBX, VoIP, and mobile communication infrastructure.
• Perform network diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal system uptime and quality of service.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and integration of new equipment and services.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and operating procedures.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
• Assist in the development of new telecommunication solutions to meet business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
• Respond to critical incidents and provide technical support to end-users when necessary.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Solid understanding of telecommunication protocols (e.g., SIP, H.323, TCP/IP).
• Experience with PBX systems, VoIP technologies, and mobile network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of fiber optics and wireless communication systems is a plus.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the vicinity of Tembisa for hybrid work requirements.
