  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics components.
  • Analyze system performance data and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aviation standards and regulations (e.g., DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C).
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, design reviews, and trade studies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Manage project tasks and deliverables within established timelines in a remote setting.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in avionics systems engineering.
  • Proven experience with avionics system design, integration, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica) and testing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of avionics standards, protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet), and architecture.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and version control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Must be legally authorized to work remotely within South Africa.

  • As a fully remote position, you gain significant flexibility, allowing for an optimal work-life balance.
  • You will be part of a globally recognized organization pushing the boundaries of aerospace innovation.
  • Additional benefits include performance‑based bonuses and a supportive virtual team environment designed for effective collaboration and mutual support.
