We're partnering with an established and growing mission-critical automation specialist that's expanding its engineering team to support major data center projects in Frederick, Maryland.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with a background in BAS/BMS, SCADA, PLCs, EPMS or controls integration who want to take their experience into some of the most technically demanding environments in the industry.
Unlike many data center positions,
you don't need to relocate
. The role offers a remote-based arrangement with up to 50% travel to project sites in Maryland, Georgia and Iowa.

Working alongside engineering, construction and commissioning teams, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable automation systems across large-scale data center projects.
Your responsibilities will include:- Performing point-to-point checkout, I/O verification, device configuration and system startup.
- Supporting the integration of BAS, BMS, EPMS, PLC and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshooting controls, wiring, network communications and integration issues.
- Working with automation platforms including Tridium Niagara N4, Ignition SCADA, Honeywell and Rockwell Automation
. - Verifying communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP and OPC UA.
- Supporting commissioning, functional performance testing and integrated systems testing (IST).
- Working with HVAC and critical infrastructure systems including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, UPS and electrical power monitoring.
- Collaborating with site teams, engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and deliver successful projects.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring where appropriate.
We're particularly interested in speaking with engineers who bring a combination of hands-on controls knowledge, programming experience and practical system integration expertise.
Experience in some of the following would be valuable:- Ignition SCADA
- Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
- EPMS / Electrical Power Monitoring
- PLC or DDC programming
- Point-to-point testing, startup and commissioning
- BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA and industrial networking
- Data center or other mission-critical environments
You don't need experience with every technology listed. We're equally interested in candidates from commercial building automation, industrial controls and systems integration backgrounds who have the right transferable skills.
