Telecommunications Systems Integrator

Our client, a leading telecommunications network operator, is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Systems Integrator for a critical contract position based in Soweto, Gauteng . This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of various network elements and systems, enabling efficient and reliable telecommunications services. • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for diverse telecommunications systems and platforms.
• Analyze existing network architectures and identify opportunities for system integration and optimization.
• Configure and manage APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and middleware to facilitate data exchange between systems.
• Perform interoperability testing and troubleshoot integration issues to ensure seamless system operation.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, vendors, and third-party providers to achieve successful system integration.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for integration designs, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of integrated systems and implement necessary adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for system integration.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on integration strategies and challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications systems integration or network engineering with a strong integration focus.
• Proven expertise in integrating various telecommunications components, such as OSS/BSS systems, network management tools, and core network elements.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) and data exchange formats (XML, JSON).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their integration within telecommunications networks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with middleware technologies and API management platforms.
