Remote Site Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly competent Remote Site Engineer to provide crucial technical support and oversight for their construction projects. This role operates entirely remotely, allowing you to contribute your engineering expertise without the need for a physical presence on-site full-time, though occasional site visits may be required. You will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, ensuring that construction activities adhere to design specifications and quality standards, and providing remote technical guidance to site teams.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineer with strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in utilizing digital tools for communication and project management. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Provide remote technical assistance and guidance to site personnel and supervisors. Ensure construction activities comply with project designs, specifications, and quality standards. Assist in the planning and scheduling of site activities. Monitor construction progress and report on deviations from the plan. Conduct remote quality control checks and ensure materials meet specifications. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues encountered during construction.

Prepare technical reports and documentation as required. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to resolve engineering challenges. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Support the procurement and management of site materials and equipment. Maintain accurate records of site activities and technical decisions.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 4 years of experience in site engineering or a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.

Familiarity with relevant engineering software and digital collaboration tools. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction. Willingness to undertake occasional site visits as and when required.
