Remote Senior Electrical Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Automation Engineer for a fully remote position. • Design and develop electrical control systems, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial network configurations.
• Specify and select electrical components, sensors, actuators, and control hardware.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
• Implement automation strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in industrial processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues, providing remote technical support to on-site teams.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements, scope, and technical solutions.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and validation, often remotely guiding on-site personnel.
• Ensure all automation designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation documentation and standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in programming multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens S7, Rockwell Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, Factory Talk View).
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and robotic integration is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
