Control Systems Engineer - Industrial Automation

Our client, a leader in industrial automation and energy management solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their innovative team. This role, based remotely, will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced control systems for various industrial and energy applications. You will be instrumental in optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring the reliability of complex automated processes. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, with occasional travel required for site visits.

• Design and develop PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems for industrial applications.
• Configure and program control systems using various software platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
• Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for operator control and system monitoring.
• Implement and test control strategies to optimize process performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, PLCs, and related hardware.
• Perform system integration and ensure seamless communication between different control components.
• Develop comprehensive system documentation, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to define system requirements and solutions.
• Stay current with advancements in control system technology and automation trends.
• Provide remote technical support and training to clients and field technicians.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Experience with common industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience in the energy sector or with process control is highly advantageous.
• Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively in a remote work setting.
