• Lead the detailed design of roads, highways, intersections, and associated infrastructure, including drainage and earthworks.
• Prepare comprehensive design reports, construction drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities.
• Conduct geometric design, traffic analysis, and capacity assessments for road projects.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other disciplines (e.g., structural, environmental) in a virtual setting.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and provincial road design standards and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior road design engineers and technicians.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for road design elements.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in road design software and techniques.
• Participate in design reviews and client meetings remotely.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation or Roads Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in roads and highway design.
• Proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant modelling tools (e.g., Autodesk Infraworks).
• Strong understanding of geometric design principles, traffic engineering, and drainage design for roadways.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, vital for remote collaboration and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality results in a remote work environment.
• Experience in liaising with road authorities and managing design approvals.
