Senior Mechatronics Engineer; Remote

• Develop and implement control algorithms and embedded software for mechatronic systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to define system architecture and specifications.
• Conduct system-level simulations and testing to validate performance and identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex mechatronic systems, both hardware and software aspects.
• Define and document system requirements, design specifications, and test procedures.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in robotics, automation, and embedded systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers within the team.
• Manage project tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a remote setting.

• Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechatronics design and development.
• Proven experience in integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Solid Works).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++ or Python for embedded systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
• Must be available to work fully remote and contribute to projects supporting our Polokwane, Limpopo operations.
