Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Remote

• Lead the planning, execution, and interpretation of geotechnical site investigations, including boreholes, CPTs, and laboratory testing.
• Design various foundation types (shallow and deep), retaining walls, and earthworks.
• Perform advanced geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, settlement analysis, and seismic site response.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical investigation reports and design recommendations.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders in a virtual setting.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geotechnical engineers.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for geotechnical components.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering software and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

• A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on design and project execution.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex geotechnical projects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Plaxis, Geo Studio, or similar analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering principles, and South African geotechnical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote reporting and client interaction.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote capacity.
