Senior Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer

• Lead the mechanical design of complex aerospace systems and components, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5, NX).
• Perform rigorous structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA and other simulation tools to validate design integrity.
• Select appropriate materials, considering factors such as strength-to-weight ratio, thermal properties, and environmental resistance.
• Collaborate closely with aerodynamics, systems engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and qualification activities to verify design performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues during design, manufacturing, and flight testing phases.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, analyses, and specifications.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerospace technology, materials, and design methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence within the remote engineering team.

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design within the aerospace industry.
• Expert proficiency in advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5, NX) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
• Deep understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
• Proven experience with stress analysis, fatigue analysis, thermal analysis, and vibration analysis for aerospace applications.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, propulsion systems, or spacecraft systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a fully remote engineering environment.
