Job Description:
As a Remote 5G RF Optimization Engineer supporting Firstpoint Group across Latin America, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of remote 5G network performance analysis, accessibility optimization, retainability troubleshooting, and parameter tuning. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring 5G RF KPIs, investigating root causes for coverage holes and handover anomalies, executing parameter optimizations for Huawei RAN infrastructure, collaborating with distributed engineering squads in professional English (B2 level or higher), and interacting directly with senior recruitment leaders like Arturo Ramirez Romero.

- Execute comprehensive remote 5G RF KPI analysis, performance monitoring, and network optimization across Huawei RAN architectures.
- Drive advanced performance tuning for 5G New Radio (5G ) and LTE/4G dual-connectivity deployments in virtualized remote environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues concerning accessibility, retainability, mobility, coverage, and spectral capacity.
- Conduct rigorous root cause analysis for call drops, handover failures, and beamforming anomalies, applying precise RF parameter adjustments.
- Analyze drive test data, OSS counters, and trace logs to formulate actionable network optimization recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to regional RF performance SLAs, throughput benchmarks, and quality of service standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with remote cross-functional engineering squads, network operations centers (NOC), and client stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous technical documentation, optimization audit logs, baseline comparison reports, and performance runbooks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in wireless RF optimization and cellular network engineering.
- Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in Huawei RAN and 5G frequency optimization.
- Mandatory professional proficiency in English at B2 level or higher for technical collaboration across Latin America.
- Deep practical experience in 5G RF KPI analysis, troubleshooting coverage bottlenecks, and parameter optimization.
- Solid practical grasp of 5G frame structures, SSB beam configurations, multi-antenna (Massive MIMO) principles, and inter-RAT handovers.
