Remote Senior Transportation Engineer

Our client, a renowned engineering consultancy specializing in transportation planning and design, is actively seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for a fully remote position. • Lead the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, urban roads, intersections, and public transit facilities.
• Develop traffic analysis models, simulations, and operational studies using specialized software.
• Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively in a remote setting.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on transportation engineering principles and practices.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop conceptual designs for new transportation schemes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation standards, codes, and regulations.
• Actively participate in virtual team meetings, design reviews, and client presentations.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering and smart mobility solutions.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, encompassing planning, design, and project management.
• Proficiency in traffic simulation and modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, highway design standards (e.g., MUTCD, AASHTO), and land development regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly in a remote context.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
