Remote Senior Water Resources Engineer - Sustainable Systems

This role focuses on the design and implementation of sustainable water management systems, including water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control projects across various geographies. • Lead the planning, design, and analysis of integrated water resources management systems, including water supply, treatment, distribution, wastewater collection, and reuse.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling for flood risk assessment, stormwater management, and riverine engineering.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability principles.
• Perform feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for water-related projects.
• Manage project life cycles, budgets, and timelines, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff within the remote team.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders through digital platforms to facilitate project understanding and approvals.
• Stay updated on advancements in water resource technologies, including water-sensitive urban design (WSUD) and smart water systems.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and presentations for diverse audiences.

• Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration or equivalent professional accreditation.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in water resources engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable water management and infrastructure design.
• Proven experience in leading water resources projects and managing remote teams.
• Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, EPANET, WaterGEMS).
• In-depth understanding of water quality principles, treatment technologies, and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an asset.
