Remote Senior Civil Design Engineer

While the role is remote-first, the focus will be on projects within Polokwane, Limpopo and surrounding areas. This position is crucial for leading the design of infrastructure projects, including roads, water, and sanitation systems, for municipal and private clients.

• Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, water supply, and sewerage systems.
• Utilize advanced civil engineering software for design, analysis, and modeling.
• Prepare comprehensive design reports, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communication remotely.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, consultants, and clients.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and provincial standards and regulations.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs and proposals.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng) is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant post-graduate experience in civil infrastructure design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Proven experience in managing projects and delivering complex designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the infrastructure challenges and standards relevant to the Limpopo region is advantageous.
