Civil Engineer - Transportation & Roads; Remote

• Design and develop road alignment, intersection layouts, and pavement designs for various transportation projects.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and safety assessments to optimize transportation networks.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, construction specifications, and tender documentation.
• Ensure compliance with national and local road design standards, and relevant environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate road designs into broader development plans.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing design queries and ensuring quality adherence.
• Manage project deliverables, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design concepts and project progress to stakeholders.
• Continuously research and apply innovative technologies and best practices in transportation engineering.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering and road design.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Eng Tech) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Synchro, and HCS.
• Strong knowledge of geometric road design principles, traffic control devices, and pavement management systems.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies for road projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote setup.
