Remote Senior Power Systems Design Engineer

• Lead the design and development of high-voltage transmission and distribution systems.
• Perform comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, stability, and transient analysis using advanced simulation software.
• Specify and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switch gear, protective relays, and cables.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination studies.
• Ensure all designs adhere to international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and client-specific requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with remote multidisciplinary engineering teams, including protection, automation, and civil engineers.
• Provide expert technical consultation and support to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve designs prepared by junior engineers and external consultants.
• Contribute to technical proposals and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in power system engineering.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, Power Factory).
• In-depth knowledge of power system protection, control, and stability principles.
• Experience with renewable energy integration studies and grid code compliance is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage complex design tasks and deliver high-quality results independently.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience in virtual collaboration tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is an advantage.
