Ready to take the lead without being tied to an office?
I'm working with an ambitious, fully remote MEP consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of mechanical design across an impressive portfolio of high-rise residential and large-scale developments.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being technically hands-on, leading engineers and taking responsibility for projects from initial concept through to construction.
With no office attendance required, you'll have the freedom to work remotely, with travel limited to essential project and site visits.
What's on offer?- 100% remote working - no office, no daily commute.
- Principal-level ownership of multiple major residential projects.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of mechanical engineers.
- Take responsibility for technical quality, design standards and project delivery.
- Work directly with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Play a key role in delivering some exciting high-rise residential developments.
- An experienced Principal or Associate Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Strong building services experience, particularly high-rise residential.
- Excellent technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, cooling, heat pumps and heat networks.
- Proven Stage 4/5 design and coordination experience.
- Confidence checking and approving calculations, schematics, specifications and technical drawings.
- The ability to lead projects, develop engineers and build strong client relationships.
- Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous, but technical ability, leadership and delivery experience are what really matter.
You'll be joining a multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong technical ethos and a portfolio of significant residential developments, including projects in Nine Elms, Uxbridge, Beckton and across London and the wider UK.
This isn't simply another design role. It's an opportunity to take ownership, influence technical delivery and lead a team within a genuinely remote working environment.
